Company: Fontenova – Aquanova Firenze Srl.
Water treatment company for domestic use.
How to live the life you want and not be a slave of your own company.
When I was called for a first appointment, Giovanni was desperate because he spent most of his time in the company solving all the problems and taking the toughest decisions. The company management was mainly his burden whilst his collaborators only executed but they did not dare propose solutions.
He got to a point where he wanted to sell the company and change life.
He heard about us because he was familiar with the method that we used since in the past he had been helped by another training and coaching company that used a method that was similar to ours. But he decided to go with us because he saw professionalism and technical expertise.
We started with the main problem: the company was centered on him!
All the important matters were always up to him, he took the decisions, there were no autonomous and productive areas within the company.
First of all we implemented an organizational model based on freeing him of gradually more and more tasks delegating them to the most productive and valid collaborators.
The latter were appointed as executives and thus trained to be fully responsible for their areas and to take decisions autonomously without needing the constant help of the owner.
In the meantime his main focus was to become the General Manager.
The creative and strategic mind of the company.
It was not immediate. The changing process was gradual and continuous.
How did we understand that we were on the right path?
Well, surely the numbers were reassuring, an average growth in turnover of 20-30% every year, but the real sigh of relief was when he started getting LESS questions and requests from his collaborators and he started to happily observe that their productivity was significantly improved. Not only! Before, his routine was to leave the company at 8pm; he then started leaving at 6pm and also 4pm because PICKING UP his kids at school was not secondary.
Actually during the step of the discovery of his personal vision of life he finally saw the priorities of his life, and his children and family were a priority.
Now the company is stable, productive and was not damaged by the pandemic.
Of course it’s not all perfectly easy.
The economic crisis and the uncertainty period is felt but knowing that thanks to the Aligned Management method a path of continuous improvement and growth has been undertaken has greatly contributed in increasing confidence and certainty that the objectives set for the next years will be met.
